Activity 8: Let's act out!

  • Why use it? Practice action verbs 
  • Who it's best for: Children 6-11 years old. 
Explanation and objectives: 

The point of this activity is to practice the meaning of verbs by a TPR technique. 

Materials: 
Instructions: 
  • Divide the group into 2-4 teams. 
  • The first team chooses a student to pass to the front.
  • He takes a card and sees which verb has on it. 
  • The student acts the verb without saying a word. 
  • His team has to guess which verb he is acting. 
  • The teacher takes notes of the score of the teams to determine a winner.
